    Anyone know what percentage silver Big Industrial Electrical Contacts contain, and the best way to seperate the contact from the copper?

    www.cmwinc.com has technical info on silver contacts. I think you would be best served by sending them to a refiner unless you have a pretty big chemistry set.

    Lots of variables.
    Era of manufacture, application, manufacturer, etc.

    Some are quite valuable. Some not.

    I recall a discussion about contacts, much info to be had.
    Wonderful site if one is considering any type of smelting or has questions about the values of various industrial types of PMs scrap.
