Default Check out the chart for the Great Depression stock market crash

I have been a member of Kitco Forums for six years now, and until now I have only posted in the gold and silver and mining forums. An interesting article below and especially with the chart of the 1929-1932 stock market.

Thank you. I think a lot here are getting a little nervous, myself included. Bear markets tend to sneak up to the point when you realize your entrails are already strewn across the ground. Do you have any sectors or strategies that you think will help shelter money invested in the stock market casino from the bear?

Do not believe the hype. Believe the LEI (Leading Economic Indicators)

It is unrealistic to believe in a new bull market when the Fed is engaged
in a most pernicious rate hike campaign.

Gold, silver, and commodities should do well in the next few years.

Fair enough, but it is unrealistic to put all into those items.

Agree, commodities is a pretty big bag.

Mannarino is saying "get exposure to commodities now".

How are you exposing yourself to commodities? What commodities do you think we should we get?

Hi Todd I've just started looking so have no positions yet. Mannarino, IIRC, mentioned a few ETFs.

I have a td ameritrade account (now schwab, I guess) and they facilitate futures trades so that is one thing I'm considering although I prefer to go with a non-USD denominated platform so I'm searching for one... without success at the moment. The thing about futures is it is easy to go with the available leverage and that can be dangerous if one is not sufficiently capitalized.

As far as specifics... it seems that wheat may do especially well... it seems supplies have been curtailed due to the Ukraine Russia war.
