In general, they have sucked over the last decade or so vs U.S. stocks. I keep a certain percentage of foreign stocks vs domestic stocks, so to keep this percentage, I've been buying more relatively cheap foreign stocks over the last few years relative to U.S. Hopefully they will catch up one day, so that this strategy pays of. Right now it hasn't, would have been best to have just held U.S. stocks that have done quite well, including since the start of this year.
