What happened to my investment thread I have been posting in since 3/18/2018? If it has been deleted I will not be starting a new one but I would certainly want to know why.

Current investment plan is post #1606, Free S & P sentiment index (Post #564), https://www.ndr.com/invest/infopage/S573 SSD = Simply Safe Dividends Post #1162, http://simplysafedividends.com Sentiment Wave Analysis, https://www.elliottwavetrader.net/ I do a lot of analysis on the Seeking Alpha site. https://seekingalpha.com/ Heck I could be totally wrong!
Wow! This is really a bad thing... I can not find any trace of it. If a post or thread is deleted the default option is it is a "soft" delete in which case it can be restored, the other option, and not the default, is "physically remove" which obviously can not be restored (unless IT has a way to restore from a back up or flip some switch in the database.)
I reported this thread to bring the situation to the attention of the other mods and to Supermod. It would seem likely that there is a log which Supermod can see to know what actions have been taken in the forum... but if so us regular mods have no access to it.
I wrote the following when I reported this thread:
"He is correct, it is gone without a trace. It was a huge thread with 5 years of posts by the member.
If deleted it was not done by soft delete, as said there is no indication it ever existed.
It was in the forum https://gold-forum.kitco.com/forumdi...scussion-Group
From there clicking on Administrative gives no indication of a method to see anything.
Supermod is there a log you can view that will inform us what occurred?"

Well, I certainly cannot redo 5 years of writing to explain sentiment based investment waves or redo the years of listing every investment decision and why. I cannot see myself re-starting as it would be pointless. So, I guess this is saying goodbye..... :-(

It does not appear my thread will be brought back so this is the final goodbye with the results since 3/18/2018 through today.
Our dividend income has grown from being 32.49% of our annual retirement income to being 57.25% of our retirement income.
Our account valuations have grown 68.35% while we have been taking 9% (2018) to 7.5% (current) of our yearly living income from the accounts.
Due to my belief a significant correction is coming - we now have 96.1% of our holding in US Treasuries; Specifically in TLT (45.7%) or Treasury Bills.
Obviously our "plan" has been working very well.

Redrum, unfortunately sometimes responses are not as timely as we would wish for. I haven't heard yet from Supermod.
If a positive outcome should occur I will send you a private message, please keep the email notification active.
thank you for all of your input and sharing.
Kind regards,

ynot2k - I kept the notes from the transactions today and it was time for an "update" post.
Thank you for your time and effort to try and revive the thread.

I am sure that other mods, as I do, are completely disinclined to use the "physically remove" feature, as doing so can get us into very hot water with the Kitco administration, and of course any affected member, and we want to be able to go back and reverse a deletion in the event of a successful appeal, or an overriding decision by Kitco staff. The only other possibility therefore seems to be a software error. Although the possibility certainly exists due to the nature of software, such a calamitous data loss is not something I've seen happen with the forum software.
Doing a Google search for: site:gold-forum.kitco.com Redrum - Do you have written investment plans? Do you update as investment strategy changes? finds a few references to the thread, but links to the thread itself don't work.
I searched my personal files and the only reference I found to the thread was about an infraction by another poster, whose posts were moved from Redrum's thread to another thread.

On trying some other page numbers, I'm afraid I could not find any more that have been archived on that site.

I hope to be able to have a repor with you also not for the stonk market info, rather for nephrite.....keep communication channels open please.
Thomas Jefferson is credited with writing, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” The seceding states in the Civil War period issued a similar declaration using the word “tyranny” as opposed to “injustice.”
I sure hope some mod's do something about this. Otherwise please explain exactly what was wrong with this thread that many of us followed! I sure hope it wasn't some AI machine seeing anti-woke words like buy, sell or trade and think it was racist.![]()
