    Silver institute. I haven't look in a while but if you look at their previous silver production and consumption reports, they showed year after year deficits for over 10 years, and that included recycling silver. By all accounts we ran out of silver sometime in 2016.

    It was not malice. They simply gathered the best production figures they could gather which were obviously wrong, judging by the fact that we didn't run out of silver.
