Thread: Anyone know about recyling non deposit plastics?

    I worked for a Canadian company that bottle water in Indiana. They recycled all their own plastic scrap and reused it. Trouble was you can only use about 5% waste with virgin. And the biggest problem was sorting the neck ring and cap.

    If you get a bottle with a soft bottom it's got too much recycled in it.

    Noticed that tv dinner trays are marked #1,3, or5 so those get stuffed into #2 milk bottles because they are not see through. I keep #2 laundry detergent jugs for used oil that gets left behind the auto parts store

    The trick is to throw your lithium batteries into the recycling, where I live we've already burnt down a recycling center and a garbage truck was on fire on the highway a few weeks ago. Throw your glass and iron into the trash, it helps pack down the landfill. I recycle all my plastic, who knows where it goes.
