In addition to FTX founder and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, investors are suing celebrity endorsers, such as Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen, Larry David, David Ortiz, Steph Curry, and Shaquille O’Neal, according to a report by the New York Post.

Incredible that whole thing went on and some of us totally unaware. I only heard of FTX (and had to google it) some few days ago right here on this board.

My thought is this is a poison crypto pill to create public doubt in the security of decentralized open source crypto currencies. The message is only thieves and criminals would take a chance keeping any amount of money in the crypto market. But when you look at it, the thieves and criminals who most benefitted from the theft were the politicians and one world government overlords.... Now que the story where the only thing the government can do is to create their own digital currency so they can monitor all the activity and keep everyones wallets safe and secure.... For a "small" accounting and holding tax... er, I mean, fee. Never gonna go up, until it does. Never going to be used to track, but it will. Never going to be used to control speech, until you say something the overlords don't want said. Never going to be used to control selling or purchasing, until the overlords decide the cow farts are too many to keep herds larger than what is necessary to feed the overlords, and bugs are what is sustainable to feed the herd that needs to be culled anyway.

Yes, government controlled digital currency, but the open source decentralized cryptocurrency is not.... and that is what is pissing them off.
