Scowling faces when I came back to my car, and started pumping. Brassy Woman "waiting" across from me yelled "Who carries cash anymore !"

Idle musing: Quite a powerful weapon too imvho.
Some people will never learn. No cash, no stored food. The "grasshoppers" of the world, up to their A$$ in debt and hating the "ants" that always seem to be prepared. Same ones that then allow emotions to control their vote.

Not that I would attend any of these, but I certainly will not attend any function that is cash free. I also will not buy from a store that is cash free.

The push to a central bank digital currency has more to do with them knowing about every single transaction you do than just doing away with cash. For the matter now almost all my transaction are done digitally with digital dollars now.

You do not buy things in person? If so, why not use cash? Credit card brownie points to hard to say no to?

If you are going to talk the talk, why not walk the walk?

5% is 5%. Still a lot different than a Central Bank Digital currency. look at the current CC Cos wanting to create a special transaction code for firearms. Enough people got mad to stop it. With a CBDC that could be done without any effort.

Cash has probably got fentanyl on it.

There is going to be a serious push for cashless very soon...not just for money...your entire life will be encoded...with your health and vaxxine status too.

We better all get on the same page to fight this.

Yeah, I'm sure pan handling isn't what it used to be. I don't carry cash nearly like I used to. I know that the Arabs at the gas station rejoice everytime I pay with cash. They are not fans of electronic payments.

As an aside the great Senator Durban from Illinois is working on a bill that would remove all the cash back, 0% and rewards perks you get from CC companies. Just like he did with toasters and such with the banking industry.

I went to Waikiki last night. The parking meters in the area have switched from 7am-6pm M-S. Sunday free. Changed meter parking 7am-10pm daily. 1 quarter = 5 minutes. Street parking became difficult to find last night so I went to an old parking area and found a spot. The new way to pay at that parking area was by mobile phone only. So I had to leave I forgot my phone at home on charger even with my phone I would have left anyway. It used to be cash.
Corbett report did a number of these CBDC and biometrics coming to a town near you videos or articles. You may be surprised to find out how many countries have already started using CBDC. Since the pandemic some stores here still do not use cash. It’s like a slow social engineering experiment to get people hooked on plastic.
