We need building permits in Honolulu. Dept planning permitting DPP are really slow and short staff who can do that kind of work. The drawings architects designers structural engineers draftsmen are good but DPP is really slow to get anything done of course without an envelope under the table. I heard some people got busted and some inspectors taking bribes. So idk how it is now for expediters.
Did not know you live in Hawaii. I grew up in Hawaii. Everything seems slower in Hawaii, so no surprise permitting is also really slow. Why rush, talk story? Everything is slower, except, well the pakalolo grow fast.
Hawai'i iz da kine place eef you can find some kind of bond wit braddah in special position, like you went same school, know some cuz, whatevahs, den tings go real smoot. Talk story with some in "DPP", you might get lucky. Get real good at "talk story" then you can make "exphaditah"

lol so true Motocat. Hawaii seems kinda 3rd world and so remote feel vulnerable w/o a boat. It might cost one gold coin to get off this rock someday. Am in a good situation on Oahu now. DPP is super super slow its difficult to bid something today that may not happen for 6-12 months out.

Good coin dealer in the business area behind the movie theater/mall on Maui. Always low premiums when buying, sell to him at spot. Sorry, forget the business name, but also he does some kind of repo related work.

I am missing Hawaii. Did not know shades also spends time there! (Business with Ulapalakua or Haleakala ranch?), Good to know Maui has such a place dealing in coins. I remember growing up near Kailua, started coin collecting as a boy often visiting a local coin store. It was when gold was shooting to the moon, and so many people, obviously not collectors, would come in just asking for the 1 oz gold coins. I dreamed of owning such a coin. I thought they must be super rich, imagined they must drive a red Ferrari, like magnum. Looked out the door, and yes he did. I never imagined I would be stacking full 1 oz au coins. But no need for a Ferrari, I'm into motorcycles and pass posers in uber costly sports cars all the time

Went to Ceaser's palace. $23 Park.
Wife got a drink $19.
Went to play a little Blackjack, the minimum bet on each table is $100.
I put a couple hundred nto the slots with my wife...that was vaporized in seconds.
Going to see David Copperfield tonight. Ok tickets $380 for 2.
Every place you eat that is good $130 to $300 for 2.
I just can't believe it...?
So I sent the wife to go shopping at the Ceaser's Forum mall, if you have never seen this it is incredible. It is under the casino. I walked over to the sh&^y Flamingo Hotel where the Blackjack started at $15 a hand. When I play, I play one on one, no drinking and I focus. Won $3000 in about 50 minutes. I would have probably won more, but the casino sent in some "Shills" to play next to me and f&^k up the cards. As soon as others sat down, I said..."Color me up". I was gone....Bye bye. Vegas has sure gone down the s&^tter. You used to get all kinds of deals. Those days seem to be gone. Just a heads up. Sad.
Sorry to go so long on this post...my entire point to post under this article is...being here in Vegas, I think it is going to be an enourmous chore to switch to cashless. This city is run on cash. I don't think they will do it. The costs would be astronomical. Every machine, every table would have to have card readers....on and on. And then, what would the full tracking of betting do to this town. It is already in trouble. I think that would burry this city. No Cash....This city is done. Many road blocks for the great reset.

I haven't been to Vegas in more than a decade. The last time I was there, I was shocked to find that slot machines no longer paid out coins directly. When you wanted to cash out, the machine printed a bar code slip & you had to take that to the cashier to get your money. Not having the machines go "ding ding ding" as they spit out the coins, took a lot of the fun out of it. Unless the slots have been switched back, I would expect the trend to continue.
On a related note, it has been suggested to me that in places like Macao, the gambling tables are sometimes set up to be "loose" for certain individuals, in order to gain favor for various reasons. Is it possible that this also happens in Vegas? I don't know. Quite frankly, I am happy to not know.
