Basket of many fiat - Failed
The idea appear as stable just look at EURO which is basket of European fiat which replace all fiat of every European countries. Only those who print money win and none of the countries will benefit except those branches that directly print and benefit itself in infinity ways of distributing purchasing power.

Gold back fiat - Failed
USD is back by Gold and at any time nobody could audit it just like GLD and all gold reserves which is costly to protect it in the vault and more expensive to count and audit them.

Audit the Gold - Failed
Look at who audit the vote count and you will never see accurate and real numbers which only blindly believe "Authority" figures become the facts of audit numbers.

The original of barter of value exchange be it goods or services or anything exchange besides Gold and Energy is the Land. Countries that bankrupt, the people are sacrificed and countries who owed the countries will take over. However in today corrupted money creation, you do not need to take over the country. Just appear as nice guy and reset the debt and print money again and let next puppet take over. And the people do not understand and play the same game again.
