I haven’t paid attention to any metals in some time. Looks like everything is down. I also haven’t paid attention to current economic events in a while so I have no idea why.

It's all due to strong dollar. Go look at gold prices in other countries, and you will see gold going up.

Next it just gets flushed down the drain or runs down the street gutter.... amazing that
Thomas Jefferson is credited with writing, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” The seceding states in the Civil War period issued a similar declaration using the word “tyranny” as opposed to “injustice.”

1bn ozt would make the Hunt brothers look shy & reserved by comparison.

That amount would constitute roughly 1/3 of the above ground silver worldwide. I do not believe that much exists in trading form. I do not expect that comex would issue that many contracts. ...but then again, a few years ago I did not believe that government would tell people that they were not allowed to work, go to church, or go to funerals, so anything could be possible.

The Hunt brothers cornered roughly 1/3 of the tradable silver & drove the price up to around $50 before the rules of the game were changed, Silver Thursday happened (March 27, 1980) & the price of silver collapsed to under $11. The Hunt stake was said to be around $4.5bn at it's peak.

The total number of ozt they controlled has been hard for me to pin down. I have seen estimates as high as 195 million ozt

This is no longer posted in the Fed Minutes of January 2008, but still quoted here - https://www.nbcnews.com/id/wbna22592939. The FOMC minutes still quote MR. Reifschneider. as stating the same thing.

The fat finger was on duty while NYMEX was open today, then it disappeared.
