Premiums
I haven’t bought silver since December 2019. I bought something like 100 ASE. The premium was 3.75 if I remember correctly. I checked APMEX and it’s now above$9. Some crazy ****. I’m knew it would be high but not like that. What kind of premiums is everyone seeing at the LCS? How about on generics?

It would appear, physical silver has decoupled from paper. Been a few years ago, now.

.999 generics at $4 premium at local lcs ASE's at $8, $9 over. that is why i grab the 90% at under $1 premium, about 3% -4%.

Sure, premiums on ASE's and such have remained high, I guess production not enough to keep up with demand?
However look at 100 oz and even 10 oz bars, and you'll find reasonable premiums, sub $2.5 or even $2 over common to find.
Aside from special when I can find, that's all I get now, the buy sell spreads on Eagles are just to high, and in any case, the bars are easier to handle.
And if I could not find low premiums on bars, I would go with silver casting grain as you can get direct from refiners, no reason to be paying 25% premiums on what was once our common currency.

I'm in the same boat, stopped buying PM's a few years back.
I saw how low silver is now and thought it might be a good time to grab some more.
I was also a little shocked at the premiums as well.
Silver premiums at the one LCS I went to last week were $9 for ASE and $3 for generics and selection was low in the case.
All they had were ASE's and some generics, mostly buffalo rounds and apmex 1 oz. bars and NO 90%

I became a seller after last years pop up to 28. Looks like it's almost time again.

+1, Might be moving a Monster box if it gets to $28-$30.
Nice to see gold on the move as well, silver being more of a commodity used in industry, all commodities seem on the rise.
