Ukraine gets 34$ million in crypto donations. Interesting as Biden is trying to block crypto on the Russian front to evade sanctions.

It seems that someone is getting indicted for a crypto Ponzi scheme.

This begs the question - Aren't all forms of Crypto Ponzi schemes?

Crypto coins all originate somewhere. Someone creates them out of thin air & distributes them, claiming that they are a token of value. If they are widely traded after that, for goods & services, then they come to represent actual value. But the guy that hands them out the first time, after creating them for basically no cost, cleans up pretty well. He gets value for pretty close to nothing. Bernie Madoff couldn't have come up with a better "investment opportunity". It's all just a new twist on a classic scam in my opinion.

Shall I wonder how the price of tulip bulbs is doing????

It would seem that there IS a switch that someone can throw to shut off your access to your crypto -

"Coinbase Cuts Off 25K Russian Wallets Over Allegations They're Engaged In "Illicit Activity""

So much for the well advertised concept that crypto transcends governments' abilities to fool with the magic currency.

the floor value of an original ape is trading on the exchanges for about $354,000 USD. and the floor value for the less valuable mutant ape is around $66,000 USD.

well here is the kicker!!! every bored ape nft holder was airdropped about 11,000 apecoins and the mutant holders were given 2,000 apecoins...FREE.

well, i just sold a percentage of mine last night at $15.50 per coin. FREE GOLD, FREE GOLD. some claim that the value of these apecoins will climb into the hundreds of dollars each. wow!

Wow, Maxwell! I am so happy for you! (and I'm NOT saying that in a snide or sarcastic way- I really mean it) IF, I had been privy to these NFT's or cryptos such as you and got them for free or cheaply, my feeling is that I would have run, not walked, to cash them in to exchange for metals- probably gold also. Perhaps saving some in case they keep going up in the future. All these electronic assets along with my understanding of them, are above my pay grade, but if someone such as yourself can truly profit from them, then great! I sincerely hope you crush it!

thank you bronkster. i was and am blessed. my son is a strong believer in cryptos and the variant forms such as nft's. he and his kids live with me since i have a large home that my kids grew up in. to show his gratefulness for my assistance the past few years, he gave me these things. i did sell a bit but after observing him and his moves regarding crypto i (although somewhat skeptical) being old school, actually do see possibilities, strong possibilities that some of these will possibly out perform many if not most.

i did not wish to boast, no no, but i did wish to offer a wee bit of education on this possible millionaire maker. of course, we all know to only gamble with extra funds we can live with losing should our hunches be wrong... i have done quite a bit of researching, questioning, and learning on this the past year and that is all i can say about that. dyodd. jmho.

Yes, exactly. My skepticism, being old school myself, is only outweighed by my trying to keep an open mind as to certain opportunities that may present themselves- whether I understand them or not. I certainly don't have a crystal ball and I can't predict the future, or else I'd be richer than Gates, Buffett and Bezos put together. But I think I'm smart enough to know what I don't know though, and as you said, will only gamble with losable funds. Who am I to say if the proponents of cryptos and nft's are wrong? No one, that's who- even if I still don't trust them. Risk takers, to varying degrees, are the ones who have the ability to highly profit from that risk tolerance and any resultant returns.

I don't look at it as boasting if you've had success with them, either. Whether anyone considers it luck, smarts, intuition or anything else, the fact is you have some of this new thing that you're able to profit from, and no one on this side of the equation (everyman VS. those who would control, keep down, and tax to death) should wish for anything other than continued success no matter what you do with them.
