It appears the Indian government has delayed making a decision on crypto regulation, adopting a wait and see what everyone else is doing mode. Next decision moved to late january.
There are an estimated 15 million to 20 million cryptocurrency investors in India, with total crypto holdings of around 400 billion rupees, according to industry estimates. That's around 52,000,000,000$
Another source cites different numbers of total users:
India 100 million.
USA 27 million.
Russia 17 million.
Nigeria 13 million.
Brazil 10 million.
The world’s top 10 crypto countries, according to the Statista data, are:
Nigeria: 32%
Vietnam: 21%
Philippines: 20%
Turkey: 16%
Peru: 16%
Switzerland: 11%
