We have to remember the expensive taste of the greeny fashion in the West does not represent most of the word. Consider Asia and Africa, all these people who are trying to become middle class --are the going to throw that away for green fashion?

I think not, they don't even want to jump on the neo-liberal crusade against Russian energy, and that's where growth is really going to happen.

Also, let's remember the need for platinum in the fuel call (hydrogen) based EV's. This technology is likely to take of, then platinum will really take of.

Of course, all this is not perfectly predictable, many other ups and downs can happen for various reasons, I just like platinum as much as gold, and to see it is more rare, and 1/2 the cost, make it an asset I will keep, and as a key PM for trading.

Platinum flying off the shelves. Checking multiple dealers and they are frequently out of stock. Managed to get a platinum eagle. Hate paying the premiums, but I’m buying platinum until the other metals make more sense.

i have tried with bars, maples and eagles occasionally for 15 years. i just dont see any point in platinum except from a collectors point of view for the premium u s mint proofs for my grandkids birthdate year. otherwise i am ditching all the rest of my platinum if it ever gets back to $1100. i think i can be waiting a good long while.

Keep in mind, Max, platinum historically is worth more than gold. I began buying platinum because it looked like a better value than silver and is a denser store of wealth than gold. Gold is small, platinum is smaller. Hang on and I think you will be happy with the choice.

Agreed. Also, the fact that the eagles have a $100 face value makes them worth the premium. Not happy about the price shooting up because I am trying to stack. Seemed self evident though considering everywhere I look they are frequently sold out.

my issue with platinum is that it has waivered between 800 and 1100 for so long - muich longer than either gold or silver with minimal movement that i am just not convinced it will move much higher before it dumps back down to the 900 level again. also, a driving factor years back was the link to catalytic converters and those are soon to be a thing of the past it seems. where did that consideration go in the scheme of things? and yes, the face 100 dollar on the eagle looks pretty but the premiums are twice that much that i am finding. i still think silver may be the better long haul bet, at least that is where my money is being placed. what a horse race, eh? au, ag, and pt.

I just got another oz Pt... The premium was high, but it seemed like the best use of the dollars.
