here in the happiest country of the world, we had elections and even though BEFORE before the elections it was said that we have to expect higher taxes, three paries have abt each 20 pct the biggest is now the Unityparty ( kokoomus ) the next Perussuomalaiset, the rootfinnishparty, and the socialist party.
The green, hotreds and centerparty lost feet and legs. the smaller swedish speaking and christian party held their stand.

There is now a lot of talk going on who will sleep with whom, I bet it will be Kokoomus =socialsts + swedish + christians, they can form a majority and it would be quite an equilibrated right-left balanced pack. ( don't think the right here is very rightwing, in the us they would be considered as leftsists).

I think a Kokoomus + Perussuomalaiset i+ the small 2 is impossible because the Perussuomalaiset are EU critics and the government wouldn't dare to offusc Brussels, for fear they would stop giving them money. Here nobody wants to be treated like the stubborn hungarians, poles and italians whom the EU threatens to stop funding if they do not align with the Masters' voice. .

I think I am right because S.Marin ( quite popular former Prime minister , lady ) decided tdy she abandons the presidency of the socialist party and will become a common representative. I gyess it is because the Socialist party majority has told her they want to make a deal with the Kokoomus. In that case she would be subordinate to the presumed prime minister Mr Orpo, she cannot stand.

I think she took the right decision.

So basically you are saying the Fins are no longer the strong liberty loving will fight for independence people many in the U.S. think them to be (based on the Winter War with Russia), rather they are just another subservient nation looking for free handouts from their masters? They wouldn't be able anymore to stand hardship. There is a big difference between believing to be able and being able. The finns are by nature a follow the leader crowd and hihhuli wired.. ( a hihhuli was a branch of over-zealous believers). The covid and nato frenzies have shown there is no opposition to stupid mainstreams.

They went like bulls into Nato without knowing what such a move holds. The swedes were smarter: they gave the impression they wanted to join Nato but cleverly sabotaged the process, so they are now in the leeside the Finns protected by Natohihhuli Finland. When there would arise a conflict somewhere else with which they have nothing to do, finns are obliged to march, swedes not.

Moreover the interslavic war will end one day and then sweden will be able to profit from the russian market, whereas Finland will be the asinus in the corner. Take it for granted.

My wife is finnish ( i am not) her parents lost everything in the wars and three of her fathers brothers were killed in anction or died from warinjuries. I have the letter from the hospitalpriest announcing the death of one of his brothers - ,he got a machine gun spurt in the abdomen; the brother of her mother was also killed in action, so I understand she dislikes russians ( but ukrainians were also " russians " in those days ) she uses to say like her mother that russians are russians even fried in butter, i.e. they never will change, but she thinks that it is a mistake to be the white negroes of the US.

wokiness has a price, expressed in the fiatprice of gold.

Our western societies do not understand or want to understand anymore that when the brake on the moneyspending is away or almost not biting, the ensuing overspending is the basic reason of inflation.

The actual ratehiking is pouring water on an already burnt house. It had to be done years ago, but we could not do it because of our "democratic" systems, the winner in such a system is the one who promises bread and games.

The romans experienced all political systems, none worked and the last one the imperial ( = dictatorian ) was based on the military power which supported them, until that power started supporting different in spe dictators...

Woke times always end with goldhoarding of those who see the disaster coming and military dictators for the recentering of society to a kind of common sense discipline it has lost over time.

I have not seen any headlines yet, however spot gold up $25/oz this morning, this does not happen every day, and usually you see some news on it when it happens. Nothing yet.

Maybe dollar weakness, fed not going to raise rates now more likely?

Glad to see the move, I am sweating blood a lot less after today's move. Last week I took a large position in the 2x ETF NUGT and so far it's paying off and is up over 12% at the moment. I hope it keeps on going. Got to generate fiat paper so I can sell and turn it into physical ASAP.

gold is up back from holidays at least in dollars, but the dollar is weakening, why should he strengthen ? wit that growing debtmillstone on its neck ?

Digitaldollars are nothing more than an attempt of the broke governments to free print themselves money without having to pay interesdtrates. Digitalmoney is the end of the FED and other "National" banks which in reality are selling money.

When the nations or nationgroups go to digital money the debtconcept will be abolished. The money mass(increase ) will of course have an influence on the purchasing power of such a digiunit, but that will be your problem, not theirs.

So you know what they will put into yr throat, they are not worried about YOUR or my reaction, but how to sell it to the FED and other " national" banks and those who make a living on interest rates paid on tbonds, gilts, Bunds... etc.

Just wondering how the politicians are gonna guide that elephant through their poecellanshop without being ousted by the financial Masters, because it is clear that the digicurrency will piss against their shins.

Well, I would say the increase in gold to fiat ratio today, with gold up over $30 in a few hours (and $100 in 1/2 a month, $200 in less than two months) warrants a "wow" post.

And what's behind all of this, that because inflation is now looking less, that the fed will lower there interest rates??

Makes no sense to me. As noted on the "latest score" thread on this gold forum, I was last buying at under $1850, not so long ago. For those who follow the news, I guess you become part of the buy high cult. I don't get it. By ignoring the news and simply buying more gold when it goes lower, I have probably saved hundreds of thousands over the years.

Hopefully, other savers in gold have been doing the same here, maybe best not to think to much for many, it's really not that complicated.
