I paid $87.65 for the silver one. The bidding on Ebay is running from $400-485. Nice flip if that's what someone wanted to do, even after the fees.

AGAIN SCREW THE MINT. this one is not a big deal for some reason... some ebayers are selling at a loss already. I just tried to cancel that order. it has not even been processed nor my cc charged yet. after 45 minutes on hold (the 4th phone call to the mint) the agent said she could not cancel the order - she had no way to cancel it! i asked for a supervisor - surprise surprise... none available so i can get a call back within 48 hours which means probably next monday at the earliest... i decided just to remove my 3 cc's payment methods from my account at the mint. screw them!!!

This release really exposes the brass ones the mint likes to use to penetrate us with all too often. Dang thing doesn’t even come with a free bowl of soup!

I hear and feel your frustration, Max. I haven't ordered anything from the U.S. Mint in years because of their unwillingness to listen to collectors in just about every area imaginable. Mintage limits, design- you name it. I always find it funny (read: infuriating) how whenever you, I or anyone else for that matter purchases something via some sort of electronic means, you know, credit or debit card, it comes out instantly and your "available credit" is reduced by that amount, but when you return something or send it back, it "could take up to 7 to 21 business days" to refund your "money". This happens every single time, whether you're standing there in a store or even if they received it via U.S. Mail and you have proof of delivery confirmation. My wife would say I'm just being a grumpy old man; I say that there is no proper reason why if it can come out instantly via electronic means, that it can't be refunded the same way: instantly. Am I crazy? lol

in the Egilssaga is said from the norwegian kings' treasuryhabits, " its entrancedoors are wide open but its exits small" . That pertains to all billing and refunding. I even know that some biided and collected the money even before they produced the stuff they sold....

email from the mint ... Pre-order today at 12 p.m. ET: 2021 Morgan Dollars
this one is another mint fiasco in my opinion. i was excited until i saw they were screwing around with all the logistics of this non-accurate version of the original. if i want to have a 999 version of the morgan styled coin i will buy a private mint full ounce version minted from the 80's at close to spot pricing. the mint really screwed up on this one i think. what a dumb ass decision at the executive round table. who the hell is in charge there?

Should have been .900, and the price should have been lower.

another fiasco first 10 minutes at the mints website today for the limited edition 2 coin reverse proof ASE type I and ASE type II set Designer Edition. I had it and lost it, the mint site shut down again. I kept trying and low and behold about 20 minutes after noon, I finally got my order in. About 2 hours later I checked into the site again with my sons login info and son of a gun, there were still some available. I got another order in. Then I logged in with another address and my other sons info and believe it or not I was able to get a third set. These other two were nearly 2 hours after the noon launch and website fiasco, at the mints url. We all 3 got confirmation of the sale so I will have 3 of these sets. Ebay is already selling them at 3 times original mint sale price. I think we have a winner with this set. We will see. I wish I would have had this type of tenacity with the WWII Gold coin earlier this year. Anyway, I thought others may wish to know not to simply give up if you have the time and patience just keep trying and you may be successful with the mints website after all.
