kitco pool for paper positions in precious metals and also kitco buys physical rarer p m's like pt, pd and rh. you pay less overall playing the kitco pool game even with the fees charged. if you feel safe enough to have a paper metal position instead of a physical position then the kitco pool is your best deal i think. jmho

Palladium price is higher now rrhan the gold price:
Palladium futures 1,364 $
Gold futures 1,291 $

I see in the barron article above that the biggest producer is Norilsk Mines, a Russian company.
Actually Norilsk is the world's biggest mining company, producing many metals. It is also
listed in USA as ADR :

there must always be a first time. i remark that the goldprice is emprisoned, so the energy is spilling over into other PM metals. but those physical Preciousmetals are not easy to trade on the common market, so in this case a pooltrade is almost a must if one wants his investment to be liquid.
I must think about it, something in the back of my head always says " if you don't hold it, you don't own it " and one should stick to his convictions...

and truer words are not spoken. i was fortunate, but did back up my holding having 50/50 phys/pool. and i will say this for kitco pool... when i decided to sell it was as simple as a 5 minute phone call to kitco and the check was mailed. when i sold phys to them i paid their pricing to handle all the shipping/insurance RTA UPS label printed within 15 minutes and delivered to kitco within 2 days and the check was in the mail within 4 days. very easy, peasy. besides the buy/sell spread there was a nominal ($15 ?) transaction fee.

Something curious.
With Palladium price going up so strongly, you might expect
Palladium ETF's to do fine. Actually this is not the case.
Palladium ETF's are going down in price. Look at
PALL and SPPP.
I have read a few reports and found the cause: the demand of
physical Palladium is so great that the industry (main buyer)
buys Palladium from these ETF's.
