Want the stock market to surge. I would make 2 laws. 1. Any job paying less than 17.50 an hour can no longer test for marijuana. Don't have to increase the minimum wages, sure some insurance might go up. Mitigated by less minimum wage pressure and is more inclusive. They should also do a stipend law. Make 30 dollars a day and 5 dollars per household member paid on stipend. So if you have a family of 4 and work 5 days a week , that would be 220 bucks cash before income to any taxes start. Period.

I would also socialize catastrophic illness like cancer. The problem, I think, is if we did the first thing I suggested people could pay 20 or 30 a week insurance to pay a 20 copay for an ear infection and 15 dollars for a 189dollar drug. Or they can pay out of pocket. It's only cancer major illness we worry about and frankly it is disgusting that we can increase nationally and collectively our cancer costs. I am disheartened when I hear despiteall the money, all the fundraisers, all the cut out balloons, ribbons etc, people still have to shill individually for Treatments.

On a personal note, I'm not sure there is a God, but I have no interest in medicine that increases your time in misery. You hope, you pray, and surely you WILL die. Is it selfish for suffering terminal people to struggle medically at great cost to spend one more holiday with family or embrace the timeless, many millions of years to eternity. Sweet memories and hope seem better than an extra 4 months if pain hell and emotional hell because how can anyone prefer that to heaven. Hope I don't see it coming. But most of all I don't want to linger , just to linger.

I'm going to agree with the authors of this article. No long term bear market in stocks - yet.
