    28K this week
My sister is quite livid on her 401K losses recently.
Thinking ALOT of people have suffered similar $$$ reductions.
1835 Andrew Jackson had US debt at ZERO $0
    175 YEARS later .......
2008 Owebama started at $10 TRILLION, left 2016 at $20 TRILLION
    So from 2008 - 2021 (13 years) added $20 TRILLION

Did your sister think the stock market was going to shoot past the moon and higher forever?

Really do not understand how anyone can be surprised here, at least those over 20, it's to be expected. Anyone who can't deal with that should just get something like I series treasury bonds.

In this environment of rising rates, you can make lots of money
    buying Inverse ETF's on Treasuries.

The report below lists some such ETF's, but not all of them.

    Some companies offer huge dividends.

How sustainable are them, it has to be checked.

Stocks are going down a lot but.....

Marine transportation stocks are not doing so badly
    eg INSW, SBLK, STNG, TNK...

Transportation of oil and natural gas (LNG) to Europe (and
other areas affected by the energy crisis) is hot.

Also remark (in the previous post above) that some marine
    transportation co's offer huge dividends.

Liquidity of the stock markets decreased by almost one order
    of magnitude.

By liquidity here I mean just a simple concept:

It is easy to calculate. You have just to keep your own records,
as I have not seen a web site with such data.

Treasury Secretary is concerned about lack of liquidity in the Treasuries market.

That automatically implies inverse ETF's shorting Treasuries are going up.
Eg TBT, PST, TMV, TYO, TBF ...

The trend following hedge funds are actually making big profits in this bear market.

Trend following funds invest in the new big moves occurring and riding these
big moves until they fizzle out.

Eg AQR Capital Management made more than 30 % this year.
