Thread: Any PM stackers chose Palladium?

Default Any PM stackers chose Palladium?

I've been stacking Gold, Platinum, and Silver for about 10 years now.

However, looks like Palladium would have been the best PM to stack - -now nearly equal to Platinum -- with gold in it's sights.

In '08, when I started stacking big -- Palladium was less then $200/oz. Now 5 times that price. Gold is not even double it's '08 lows. (And minors a big loss).

If there had been more choice (and lower premium) for Palladium coins, they may have been part of my stack. (I only have couple palladium bars - received as expendable odd type change when I traded for gold with a dealer in the past). Why is Palladium so unpopular for use in bullion vs platinum?

Did any stacker have the foresight to include Palladium as a good part of the their collection? If so, you must be feeling even better then the gold bugs now!

I ask again -- did any stacker here have the foresight to focus on Palladium? What luck that of all the metals, we stackers miss out on the one that has done by far the best since the recession!

Lesson: diversify in precious metals -- the one you leave out, may likely be the one that "keeps" value best.

Will palladium bullion become more common (with lower premiums) now that it has done so well?

I looked at old threads here (06-07), and see that at one point, quite a number of posters had interest in Palladium bullion. Wonder if anyone hung on to palladium, and are now enjoying the rewards or trading to other metals?

I feel like an idiot after reading these old posts. Seems like it was obvious Palladium would have done the best, and we should have especially known this vs platinum when the VW diesel scandal broke. Now it's to late, no reason for it to go much higher then platinum.

Just from calling around and asking, it's a drag getting full spot for pd when selling.

The pd Eagles interest me, mostly because intro year and maybe the won't keep making them. Could be the type of thing the "semi-numis" crowd eats up in a few years, especially it metals take off at some point.

I tried to cash in on my palladium and I had to beg, fight, insult dealers and the best I was offered was $120 under spot. This was my biggest worry with PD and PT. I figured it would be hard to sell but most people I talked to refused to even buy PD and if I did get an offer it was $200 under spot or worse. I'm going to make my rounds with the online dealers and see what I can get.
