Stocks fall, treasuries rise, commodities fall.

    UVXY seems ripe to buy.

    The next bear market
    ------------------------

This could be fun, if you would not lose money.

A few features of the next bear market:

----somebody will become a hero, forecasting correctly.....mostly by luck
----selling seems to never come to an end
----investors will pile in black swan funds
----anyone has a plan, until it gets punched in the face
    (Mike Tyson)
----money managers will quote obsessively Warren Buffett

    ....and much more

I see here that the only sector with positive money inflow is
    Basic Materials.

Basic Materials include gold and silver miners, but some other industries too:

I have meant the weekly data, not the daily data.

    Mirror, mirror on the wall,
Which is the nicest of them all ? Stocks, gold, bitcoin....?

    I remember from this book:

    https://www.amazon.com/One-Hundred-Y.../dp/0139460136

During the great depression 1928-1933 stocks went down a lot.
However, even then there were huge rallies up.

My note: Homestake Mining, sort of an index for gold miners,
    went up.....400 % + if I remember correctly.

OK. I have found a report about the behaviour of
gold miners during the great depression:

No comments. Facts speak of themselves.

Five ways to double your money:
    -------------------------------------

    https://www.investopedia.com/article...m_medium=email

    1. The classic way-go slowly
    2. The contrarian way-blood in the streets
    3. The safe way
    4. The speculative way
    5. The best way

My note: should we add a sixth way: "the bitcoin way?"

Bill Gross: the bear market in bonds has started:

    https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/10/bond...y-markets.html

My note: the 10 years Treasuries yield is 2.55 %. I posted before
an analysis of JP Morgan of market sensitivity to rates: when this
yield is 2.75 % there is a big probability of a market correction.

Bill Gross has actually gone short on bonds:
