I never realized Canada produces such little gold.

Gold investments compared with other asset classes:

    https://elements.visualcapitalist.co...global-assets/

The gold investment market is 1.1 US $ trillion, much smaller than other investment
classes. In 2020 gold investment was 90 US $ billion.

Central banks have much confidence in gold...and buy it.

My note: Do not do what the central banks say but do what the
    central banks do.

Why do the central banks buy gold ?

    A few points:
----gold has been an essential component of financial reserves of nations for centuries.
----central banks remain net purchasers of gold in 2021.
----gold diversifies reserves. National currencies are subject to swings and gold is a
natural hedge against gold has no credit inflation.
----gold is no credit or counterparty risk, being a source of trust.
----gold is in inverse relationship with the dollar. In times of trouble for the dollar,
    it protects the national reserves.

Fund manager predicts an "epic market crash." Gold can protect you.

"You have to understand that there has been a lot of noise about gold."

    A gold whale is emerging.

Somebody bought 40,000 contracts in the last four weeks.
The period includes August 09, 2021, when gold was smashed
down. That clearly shows the intention of accumulating gold
    ......on the cheap.

It is from the category "Other Reportable." (family offices of very
rich guys, etc..). It looks like it might be John Paulson, who stated
openly that he wants to accumulate a large position in gold.

India imports hit a 5 months high. In August 2021
India imported 121 tonnes of gold.

My note: Follow the facts, not the noise. In my opinion, supply and demand
is the most important fact. Liquidity comes next.

Gold is hammering away at 1800 resistance relentlessly.

It is going to break through and move higher.

I thought it would be down for the count once it broke below 1800 last week - but its opening price action tonight suggests otherwise.

Its got momentum without a doubt and wants to push higher.

Jim Cramer: Keep gold and cash. September is going to be
    cruel for stocks.

My note: Jim Cramer is not exactly a gold bug.
