    Default Try Xenforo.

    Have you thought about switching over to Xenforo. The software is coded by ex Jelsoft coders. Its great software that many vB admins are switching over to, and very popular.

    XenForo seems to be well-liked, and is cheaper than vB, however vB 4.2 seems to be working well enough at the moment and Kitco has lots of experience of using it and coping with its administrative and hosting requirements, whereas any new board software would require putting in a lot of extra work to switch over and support it, so I think that will be too much of a hill to climb unless an overwhelming case can be made for switching. That is just my opinion, not an official Kitco statement.
