Is a rate hike coming in June or will it be delayed until September? Don’t ask the Federal Reserve because it doesn’t look like they know the answer either.
In their latest monetary policy statement Wednesday, the central bank deliberately did not rule out a June rate hike but at the same time they were more negative on the labor market and justified their weak economic outlook by saying there were transitory factors.

It feels like the Fed is in a staring contest with the U.S. economy and the Fed just blinked.
