While the weekend for most is a time for coffee, relaxation and catching up on Kitco News, some European Union officials might not find it as serene. Greece moved back in the spotlight late this week – its talks with the International Monetary Fund and European Union officials on debt restructuring are err…. not going well. With IMF head, Christine Lagarde, basically saying pay us or else, Greece’s hopes of having a delayed debt payment, were shot down. Greece will not have any leeway on €1bn of debt repayments due in early May. The group meets again Saturday in Brussels to continue negotiations. Opa!
