Yen hits 24 year low against Dollar.

Not good for inflation in Japan. ( ie normal Japanese citizens)

You would think it would be wonderful for an export driven stock market but the Japanese SM is still nowhere near its peak in 1989
Yes that is 33 years ago.

We will continue to monitor this poster child of QE. It certainly has had a lot of great attributes, as a country, going for it.
Is perpetual QE finally overcoming even all of these? We will see. The market is leery about betting against the Japanese authorities,
it has been a losing bet in the past. The wolves are gathering though.

the problem with japan is they are not reproducing, japan sells more diaper for seniors than for babies. Japan is producing more cars oversea than in japan due to lack of workers.

It is not how many people you have that determines your prosperity, or how many babies you have. If that was the case Africa would be 1st world and we all would be 3rd world.

If is how productive and self sufficient the people of each nation are. ( a 60 year old worker in Japan is far more productive than a 20 year old in Botswana. )

There was a time you needed a lot of help on the farm, and how many soldiers you could put in the field won the day. Those days are long gone and soon will be even more so.

Think about it, children in the West are mostly reliant on government or parents until at least 21 now. many take more out of the system then put in their whole life.

There are lots of people that can work but they chose not to, or are not skilled for the required jobs. There are lots of jobs that are just fluff ( Covid proved that)

Automation will eventually reduce the NEED for many REQUIRED jobs ( before a new born can reach 21).

Thomas Jefferson is credited with writing, “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty.” The seceding states in the Civil War period issued a similar declaration using the word “tyranny” as opposed to “injustice.”
