just got an email from sdb and their black friday deals. i got a 10g Argor-Heraeus Gold Kinebar - AT SPOT

Only problem is you can only get one, however for any newbie PM stacker, say going from silver to gold and does not have enough for a full 1 oz, that would be a very good way to start (10g is about 1/3 oz).

Yup, thanks Maxwell for the good find - I combined that with some Kanga's they also had at the "Black Friday" sale at $40 over -- keeps to my $50 or under premium mantra and the ongoing turning ETF digits into real gold

Cool Moto got your gold my rifle finally showed up and yes they apologetic.
Yesterday was a daily deal for a 1 ounce Pert Mint Gold button bar. I should have jumped on it was 10$ less than today at 1783.69. Today is 1793.69. I was kinda worried the post office was closed today to mail a check might be too slow.
A few years ago I bottomed out my car broke down was trying to pay sons college education work was spotty. I had to sell some gold I bought at 850 and ounce. I sold 3 ounces. 1 maple 1 krugerand and 1 Johnson Matthey bar cause I needed cash. I think selling the JM bar was a mistake. Gold at that time was 1200 and got slightly below spot for them. At that time I didn't know any better about the JM bar. I really want a JM bar back and this seller also carries the JM bars generally they are hard to find and see them selling at auctions for 2100-2200. MY LCS is selling maples for 150$ over spot w/o tax. They are selling the JM bar for 1888.60 plus tax. 135$ about over spot for the JM bar. IDK if its worth it. I could save 100$ and get 2 perth mint button bars and not care about the name on it. I somehow think the JM bar is kinda worth it. Any help advice?
Am a little surprised gold is not at 1600 something but the premiums are going up. Hopefully the premiums for gold never get as crazy as it's been for silver. I doubt I will ever catch the bottom when I can afford it.
I did order 1 of the 10 gram bars at spot but idk if I like it or not. lol The colors on it make it look dirty?

Except in selling back to the same dealer, I have not heard of dealers bars fetching more than "in assay" bars from well known mints such Perth. Unless you are doing good trades with JM, I would go with the Perth Mint bars.

Either way hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.

True thanks. I had to give up on Bullion Exchange they don’t ship here. So I ordered the round Kangaroo from SD. Who cares if it’s round or square from the same mint. I feel a little anxious this is coming into final innings. Am thankful there is still some opportunities after falling asleep. Thanks for your help.

FWIT I have both, a JM bar and the perth mint square button. Both are nice IMO.

    Thats awesome.
I did quickly learn by ordering gold online with premiums over spot and tax and shipping and hassel paying 150 over spot at LCS is not that bad.

I need advice. There is someone I know and respect who is turning 80 years old before Christmas. I want to give him something for his birthday. Every year he takes off for 3-4 months and goes to Scott River California to prospect or pan for gold. I think he is a member of the Lost Dutchman and search for gold on their claim. It's something he has a passion for and loves doing what he does. He has gold pan in his garage here that he pans samples from concentrates they didn't get to yet or from other places. So I had an idea to get him some paydirt he can pan out for his birthday. I tried to order a few grams of alaska/BC gold off ebay will see how that goes. Does anyone recommend a bag of paydirt from a company I can give to my friend for his b-day that may have its weight in gold in? I can throw in the bits from ebay. Something from Dan Hurd maybe?

    perth mint square button

I have some of those to (cast). Keep one at my desk, really good size to remind you how dense, shiny, special is that element 79. Feel that weight like no other bars can.

    4 more

2 2022 Full Sovereigns for too much over spot for my taste ( about 10% over spot ) but otoh one each 2 and 1 Rand proof 1970 ( with the other coins and the original presentation box for ....600 bucks. The two gold coins alone are worth a tad more than that.
