went to visit my LCS last weekend.
He offered me a 1997 foreign gold coin at 50% premium over spot, i declined
He then offered me a limited mintage 14K coin at spot + tax, bragging that he don't care about premium on this coin. I told him he got the melt weight wrong and he cursed himself for overpaying $25 for the coin and then change his mind in a span of 20 seconds and wanted $25 extra for the coin. I educated him on the true weight on that series of gold coin and I get dinged for his mistake. I declined. Then he finally pulls out a lightly scuffed GML and offered me at spot which i took.

Many 1/10th oz AGE's at near spot -- the promotions they push on the old naked savages magazine really work -- these same AGE's can be sold back to many dealers at over spot -- so I'm already ahead!

1/10 oz Philharmonic (I like to call them Phil-O-Matics) for $154.

Not great but still lower than I ever paid for a 1/10 oz.

Holy crap! I've been trying to get my foot in the door in a (precious) metals mining company for a couple years ago but it's hard with no mining experience. Especially when all the companies are nowhere near me. Maybe one day.

I got quite a few coins in 2014 for spot or slighly above. But, I also got:

One 1/10oz American Eagle for over 25% below spot and just a few days ago an 1/4oz Maple Leaf for 19% below spot.

    Sometimes I get lucky
