Thanks, dig... It's a common date in decent uncirculated condition so no loss of gold. And even though it's now melting for less than when I originally bought it, I'm not "scared". I'm not THAT guy that instantly regrets his purchases via buyer's remorse. It's GOLD!

Hey yellowsnow, thanks for the back-up on the grading. It's always nice to hear confirmation of what one believes. Usually I have trouble trying to post photos here, but then I remembered what a friend told me about posting photos of coins- that I should always remember to crop them otherwise the size is too big and it never works. Well, he was right and it worked with a little tweaking here and there.

I actually compared it to the PCGS photograde website and it seems a very solid ms-63+ and probably an ms-64, but not quite a 65. I'm happy regardless!

sold some generic silver rounds and bought 2 ozt gold coins. 1 original sealed 1 ozt panda, 1 - $10 Liberty Eagle, 2 - $5 Liberty Half Eagles. about spot plus $15 per coin.

Anyway, what do you guys think of it? It seems to show well and I'd say it probably grades about an MS-63 or 64 which is pretty good even for common date pre-1933 United States gold coinage.

your photos weren't that clear but i didn't see much bag marks so at least a ms63 was my safe assessment.
Nice to know the original owners likely took some extra care storing it

From my local dealer, 20 Franc Swiss and Roosters, at $10 over spot per coin. Bought all they had, nice to have rolls of gold. Other coins, the common 1 oz bullion, still going for considerably more than usual over spot. Love the small gold coins from the past, wonder why I can find them at such good deals from certain local dealers, while the major online dealers keep their per/oz premiums relatively high.
