I don't know much about this coin. It appears as though it is pretty rare. I haven't been able to find out info on mintages. It appears that it was used as a broach/pin. The damage and subsequent low price is the only reason I own this coin. I was able to pick it up for basically melt, $16

Very nice! I've become fond of these older 20 Franc coins that I consider my fractional pieces. But I only possess the more common "Rooster" and "Angel" variety.

Hellah cool .. I own several 5 francs but none of these and none of the Ceres heads either. Though I do have a Ceres head 5 franc. There is a certain sit-in Emperor of Spain I would like to have on a piece of silver one of these days. He happens to be the person depicted here's brother.

got both of these for $18.85 shipped. I gotta stop bidding on stuff. Look at the condition of that 1770...

I will add these for fun. Also that 1883 20 Lepta coin photo was blurry... when I got it I was shocked it is fine to XF by my eye. I will have to take a photo of it. Seller claimed it was AU-50 in description.

Where would you guys grade that 1770 by the photos?

So far as the copper piece(mislabeled stating it was from yemen hence how I won it so cheap) .. let's just say it made a very very small percentage of the purchase price. but apparently they are valued way more than you might think. http://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/w...90-duid-329593

I wonder what it would grade out at as well. Man I really gotta stop buying stuff :P
