It has been a very rocky road for precious metals...especially for gold & silver miners in the last few years…as the miners have been absolutely slaughtered!...Since joining Kitco in August 2009...& TF Metals Report in 2011...I have suggested many penny stocks...which have doubled or more since then!...We are all here because our main interest is investing in penny stocks & profiting...trying to find the penny stocks which will double or more within the shortest period of time!...However...our main emphasis is to pick stocks...which will realize profits of 1000% or more within 6 - 24 months!...With gold & silver in a secular bull market...many of the miners' share prices will soar over the next number of years...especially the penny miners!...Our investing model on this thread...will be based on fundamental analysis...not technical analysis & charts...as this does not work for small cap miners!...Location is a major risk factor…& the valuation for miners is higher…in safer jurisdictions!…The key consideration here...is to invest in miners who have competent management...resources in the ground...have little or no debt...have financing or are capable of getting financing to carry them through for a minimum of a year!...Very important to remember…"Those who buy at the lowest price…will be the biggest winners!"…Do not chase the share prices higher…wait until the lower share price comes to you!!!...

BOG's Guidelines:

1. There will be no more miners added or deleted from "the list" for a minimum of 2 years!...Please don't ask about stocks that are not on "the list"...as it will be deemed to be off topic!...
2. If the status of deletions or additions to "the list" changes...then at that time...I may ask for new candidates to be added to "the list"...& if this changes...I will be looking for ones with $75 million market caps or less...as there is more upside to these ones...& above all...the resources of these new candidates...should be equal to...or better than most of the others...already on "the list"...& of course...they all must be under $1.00!...Also…any stocks financed with flow through shares by Joe Dwek of Pathway or Middlefield…will never be considered!...The only stocks on "the list"...in the over $75 million market cap...are the ones...already on "the list"!...
3. I will do an update to "the list"...once every 3 months!...
4. Charts/technical analysis on this thread will not be tolerated...& offending posts will be deleted!!!...

DISCLAIMER:

Stocks which BOG & other members analyze...buy...and/or sell...are based on our own analysis...sentiment...personal opinion...& in no way represents...advice or a recommendation!...Penny stocks are speculative & very risky...& as an investor...you must do your own due diligence for your own investment style & time horizon... Anyone looking for stock recommendations should consult their own investment advisor!...Please DYODD...& good luck with your picks!!!...

No I don't pump.. not once, not ever.

I'm here to learn how to pick a stock.. how to determine a stocks true value and make wise and educated decisions. I don't know a large history on Pacific Gold, that's why I was asking and presenting the information that I had found today after stumbling into it.

I'm doing some research now and trying to find out what properties they have and how much they speculate to have in gold reserves. Hopefully if I can find that information we can calculate an estimated future market cap and thus make an informed decision on whether this company is one worth sinking our money into.

Stay tuned.. :D

Right on. I didn't mean you by the way, I mean the penny stock newsletter types. When I see 2 million + trades on a 0.02 stock I wonder about pumpers. Again I did not mean you so sorry if you thought I did!

I try to find stocks which I feel will double or more in the shortest period of time!...There is no reason why this stock won't give you a profit of 1000% or more!...Remember the "golden rule"...when the stock doubles...take 1/2 the shares off the table...& let the other 1/2 ride on the house's money...forever!...By doing this...you reduce the risk by 100%!!!...:D :) :D

Ok, this is some of my DD on Pacific Gold Corp. I stumbled across them today and thought it was worth looking into. Their low trading price and extremely high volume peaked my interest so I started digging to see what this is all about. These are rough numbers that I have been able to find on their website (which is currently under construction). I also included their latest tidbit of news at the bottom which touted that their would be more news announced by the end of Oct.

I would appreciate anyone's comments and opinions!

Pacific Gold Corp - PCFG

current Price - $0.0222

Today's Volume - 17.9 Million

Current Market Cap - 7.83 million

352,740,000 (outstanding shares)
x $0.0222 (current share price)
= 7.83 million MARKET CAP

Now.. let's talk about it's POTENTIAL!

Pacific owns property in Nevada and has several different areas with "proven" resources. They're individual site descriptions have been taken down for an update, but this is what I have been able to find from there thus far.

http://www.pacificgoldcorp.com/properties.html

5 areas:
Black Rock Canyon Mine
Mud Springs Gulch
Tub Springs Gulch
Butcher Boy
Teddy Claims

From the little bit of info on the website, they claim 945,000 oz of estimated gold resources.

945,000 ounces x $1370.00 (current price of gold) = $1,294,650,000.00

This gives Pacific Gold $1.25 BILLION dollars in proven gold resources on their property.

Before, we multiplied the number of outstanding shares by current price of these shares to get the market cap. To get the "speculated" market cap, we will work in reverse and divide..

$1,294,650,000.00 (Maximum "Prospective" Market Cap)

Black Rock Canyon Mine Begins Field Testing with Geotextile Tubes

TORONTO, September 20, 2010 - Pacific Gold Corp. (Pink Sheets: PCFG) announced today that the Black Rock Canyon Mine will begin testing Geotextile tubes for dewatering tailings from the mine screening plant in October.

Previously the Company tested Geotextile tubes in a lab setting, with gravel ore from the mine, to test the ability of the Geotextile tubes to contain tailings while allowing clean water to pass through the tubes for reuse. These lab tests were successful and the next step is a full scale field test.

The mine plans to run its on-site stockpile of approximately 9,000 tons of gravel (approximately of a month of anticipated normal production) in order to test the Geotextile tubes on site in preparation for beginning full scale mining operations.

The Company expects to complete the field testing of the Geotextile tubes by the end of October.

352,740,000 (Outstanding shares)

$3.67 = "potential future share price"?

I read about this company somewhere. I remember reading that about the Geotextile tubes. Aren't they thinking of becoming a royalty model company?

I took a quick boo at it and I wouldn't buy it if it were free, but that's just my opinion so I decided to get a few other opinions. I didn't go past Hotstocked.com where they give it a SELL rating in every category except 'valuation' where they give it a 'Strong Sell'. I've never seen a company with so many 'warnings' but I didn't check back as to why they changed their name from Blue Fish Entertainment to Pacific Gold cuz i was already convinced and didn't want to waste any more of my time on it. jmho and help it helps.

Oh no.. not at all!

I'll tell you right up front.. I have a TON of learning to do. I got on the silver bandwagon early this summer and decided to start investing in physical. Then I started learning about a few companies here and there and was blown away with the action. My financial past has been a mess because of divorce and everything, so it just happened that I have really got things cleaned up this year and actually had a few dollars to invest/trade.

So, yes.. I'm new to the game and a total newbie. Please feel free to smack me around anytime.. seriously.

Without some of you guys helping me and showing me ways to evaluate these companies I could have very well made a costly mistake there.

I don't mind messing up because I learn from it.. but I don't like for it to cost me a lot!

now to keep looking for my next pick..

They completed a pretty positive feasibility study the other day - looks like they're just waiting on some financing to get what they call their "shafter mine" up and going.

FWIW, I like Aurcana and own shares.

Right now I'm having issues with a couple of my other picks that I'm doing deeper DYODD on. Hard sometimes to sort through the bs of pumpers and people trying to talk down something they want to get in cheaper. I recently had my trust violated by some REE experts who at least some of are lying or talking their books. I don't mind people talking their books if they BELIEVE in it. I think most folks on this forum do that. I just want honesty. If someone makes a mistake (I've made plenty) then just own up to it. Unfortunately it looks like a few geologists may have been pump, pump, pumping and putting their international credibility on the line!

As promised here is my exhaustive PM stable. DYODD on these!

Blue Chip Potential Juniors:

Alexco (AXU/AXR) is a top shelf silver junior that also performs "environmental cleanup" of former mining sites reclaiming gold and silver while simultaneously cleaning up tailings and other detritus around former mines. They are paid by the government for their cleanup and get to profit off the recovered metals. They also do mining themselves. An excellent future blue chip stock IMO

Golden Minerals (AUMN/AUM) is a very undervalued PM producer that should target $100+ according to Dalman Rose report. A long term blue chip junior hold for me.

Arian Silver (ASLRF.PK/AGQ) this one has been talked about extensively and I'm currently riding the house's money after cashing out 150% of original investment and looking at a triple here soon. Solid stock and M&A candidate.

Great Panther Silver (GPRLF.PK/GPR.TO) an emerging silver producer in my long term hold category has seen a tremendous run up in it's stock that is only the beginning in my opinion for this great stock.

Impact Silver (ISVLF.PK/IPT.V) another emerging silver producer in the junior category talked about extensively on this forum.

Endeavor Silver (EKX/EXK) a medium sized silver Junior producer looking to make the leap to the big time. Excellent long term hold IMO.

Rubicon (RBY) An explorer sitting on a truly massive discovery in the Red Lake mining district. It’s reserves are currently debated, but most analysts believe it’s discovery will err on the side of very huge indeed. A long term hold IMO

Northgate (NXG/NGX) a Junior Gold miner that has really lagged but has a great set up.

Lake Shore Gold (LSGGF.PK/LSG.TO) A mid-tier junior gold producer with very promising properties in the Timmins mining district a long term hold IMO.

Silver Wheaton (SLW) probably my most no brainer must have pick. Their multitude of silver streams from their royalty model should continue to soar for a few years with potentially jaw dropping profits as energy prices increase. A buy and forget for a few years bluest of blue chips.

Solid Juniors:

Alexis Minerals (AXSMF.PK/AMC.TO) another junior that I think is a very solid company and currently very cheap around 0.25 a share.

Aurcana corporation (AUNFF.PK/AUN.V) another silver junior I just love.

Cream Minerals LtD (CEXPF.OB/CMA.V) currently a buy out target of Endeavor Silver (EKX) it's on Will Wong's MDDC list of silver miners.

Sandstorm Resources (SNDXF.PK/SSL.V) another Royalty model play and one I like quite a bit. I believe it is extremely undervalued especially with production ramping up amongst it’s various metal streams. Currently undervalued at 0.70. I believe it should be $1.00 currently targeting higher prices in the future. They have excellent management in Nolan Watson former CFO of Silver Wheaton and an expert on arranging financing for the Royalty model. This is a long term hold for me that I believe will be an “Epic Win” as the kids say.

Silver Crest Minest (STVZF.PK/SVL.V) Another emerging silver junior producer who has a royalty stream agreement with Sandstorm resources and so is well financed. Undervalued and under discussed IMO.

Slam Exploration Ltd (SLMXF.PK/SXL.V) a gold/silver explorer that had incredible drill results at their Silverjack site recently. Huge run up recently and I have just fallen in love with this explorer!

Spanish Mountain Gold (SPAZF.PK/SPA.V) a Junior gold miner with 2 million + ounces in the ground. Looks like a very solid company with good insider holdings/stock buys.

Rye Patch Gold (RPMGF.PK/RPM.V) another BOG pick that has seen a 100% gain for me so far. Letting my 20k shares ride. A great pick IMO.

Riskier explorers and Juniors for high risk/high reward plays:

Fire River Gold (FVGCF.PK/FAU.V) this one puzzles me a bit and I would DYODD before jumping in, I'm currently holding shares but looking to lighten up a bit. Management's behavior is starting to look questionable to me. I will hold some shares for the long term. This stock seems range bound between roughly 0.45 and 0.60. This might be the best play with this one to take advantage of that range trade of 30%. I've made a bit doing so.

First Gold Exploration (FGEXF.PK/EFG.V) a nice gold, silver and REE explorer that has done well for me.

Golden Phoenix Minerals (GPXM) A gold royalty streamer. I personally think virtually all Royalty plays are DEEPLY undervalued. Royalty model is not well understood by most. It can be summed up as follows: Royalty plays finance junior miners in exchange for volumetric payments at a fixed price or within a tight range. For instance Alexco has an agreement to pay SLW 25% of it's silver produced from one of it's mines in exchange for financing it received in 2008. As prices are fixed for Royalty streamers, they benefit when price of gold or silver increase AND unlike miners, they benefit when the cost of fuel rises as this will boost the cost to remove ounces from the ground. They are shielded from costs around labor, fuel and other inputs while having a stream of metals coming in.

Niogold Mining Corp (NOXGF.PK/NOX.V) A junior gold explorer who’s main property is surrounded on all sides by major miners. A likely takeover candidate in the future with 900k ounces in the ground so far with a small amount of exploration done so far on their properties.

Nuinsco Resources (NWIFF.PK/NWI.V) a BOG pick need I say more.

Soltoro Ltd (SLTOF.PK/SOL.V) another explorer that recently had IMO amazing bulk mining drill results at their primary silver project in Mexico.

Silver Spurce Resources (SSEBF.PK/SSE.V) an extremely undervalued silver, gold, uranium and REE explorer that has little or no debt, solid management and an excellent portfolio of properties. I especially like their REE properties with emphasis on the Pope’s hill project showing promising results of HREE findings in the Red Wine REE/Uranium district.

Trueclaim Explorer Inc (TRMNF.PK/TRM.V) an early stage explorer working near some major miners in the Cortez trend. Some positive drill results which seem likely in the coming months could send this stock soaring.

Lotto Picks with super high risk/reward potential:

North Bay Resources (NBRI.OB) a risky and speculative play. I have a very small stake on the strength of a recommendation by another forum member. Probably won’t ever add to this position as it is a bit of a lotto pick.

So there you have it the BTG PM stable to go along with the REE stable I mention in my REE thread. Cheers and GLTA!!! :D

Some real gems in there. Most are solid, a few I'm going to re-evaluate as they aren't looking as strong as I hoped. I now have virtually my entire portfolio on kitco for viewing and evaluation by others. :D

I think the vast majority are very solid indeed and I ranked them accordingly!

Thanks to you some of my best picks are really just a reaffirmation of BOG picks! Cheers!

I agree on North Bay. I own also. They have announced mid 2011 production on one of there properties. A huge risk reward stock. I will be holding and add more if we see a 35% drop in SP to lower my DCA if need be.

Some other stocks to watch/own IMO.

Taku Gold Corp
Tradewinds Ventures
Northern Freegold

Vatukoula Gold Mines (when they finally get listed on TSX , which will be soon).

At this time I only own Vatukoula, but have owned and will own again the others.

What do you guys think about Genco Resources? (GGCRF)

From what I read a lot of what they are dependent on is raising capital by shareholders (risky I know) -- Anyone have any opinion or wish to further discuss this?

By the way, I have been lurking for a while and finally registered and am activated -- Thanks for the start of finding out what this industry is about, as I feel I have stumbled in to it at the right time :)

Geez, I'm only on page one of my 5 page list of stocks to explore . . . these companys are on pages 4 and 5.

Ok, I skipped ahead and took a quick look at Strategic Metals (SMD on TSX Venture exchange). Nice, very nice. Nice management team, lots of experience, lots of experience in the Yukon and I even see where Lee A. Groat, B.Sc., Ph.D. is a Queens grad, the same place where my Dad graduated with his B.A.Sc., P.Eng. as a mining engineer, so that's worth something eh?? It has a 5 star rating, nice liquidity, only 56 million shares outstanding, nicely financed and sitting on a lot of cash and a lot of investments after farming out numerous Yukon projects to other explorers so it's not too likely to be diluted too soon. They hold a ton of investment shares as can be seen here and seem to be quite diversified . . . http://www.strategicmetalsltd.com/s/StockHoldings.asp Be sure to check out Investment Fund and Royalty Holdings on the right side of that link. Definitely smart guys and smart guys usually do their best to keep shareholders happy. They certainly look like the real deal and the charts still look good even after a huge run from about $0.60 to around $1.80. Macd showing signs like it may even have some more left in it. I can see no signs of any Funds owning it yet, which kinds of surprises me but doesn't worry me. I like it and I'd consider including it in my basket of Yukon stocks I'm building, but I don't expect it to do too much without news or an upwards continuation in POG. I'd be looking to buy it on a pullback.

jmho Please DYODD

Will try to check out the other one asap.

Excellent work, thanks for posting this. I respect your picks and the extensive DD you do. Between these and your RE picks, it seems like a lot to manage. What % do you allocated for each individual pick? I would guess a company like SLW would get a bigger bet and the little ones are we talking like a 1-2% of your port. position? Thanks in advance.

I try to weight at least 40% of portfolio to blue chip type stocks in both PM's and REE's. As to DYODD, I'm still in the process of weeding through my picks and plucking out the more questionable ones. When I realize I've made a mistake I will announce it and make sure it's noted on my lists. There are a few, especially of the riskier picks that I'm taking a second look at. The blue chip stocks I usually have 90%+ confidence in. The others are graded accordingly. I like to have a fair amount of risky stocks because you only need to be right about 40% of time getting doubles and triples at which point I take profits and then roll the profits into more blue chip shares. I have a higher risk appetite/tolerance than most folks so keep that in mind.

I will say that extensive DYODD is true for most of my picks, but some that I took a small position in are based on initial DYODD and not deeper stuff. I'm re-appraising a few picks now as I wanted to establish a multitude of positions in mid to late August through early September as I knew September would really run in the REE's and PM's lifting most boats. Now with the October lull in miners, I'm re-evaluating. I am also paring down and moving away from the shotgun strategy of September's run into ever decreasing stable with more sure winners as time goes on. I knew there would be a run in various juniors with the more established stocks moving more going forward due to a variety of factors.

Please don't rely on my DYODD and just use my picks as things to do your OWN DYODD on. Especially true with the riskier picks!!!!

Hello BOG or Bring the Gold or anyone who has any knowledge.

While I am new and I will admit there are a LOT of things I do not know that I am figuring out as I go, my biggest concern is the timing of how the markets are going to be treating the junior gold/silver markets throughout october/november/december.. (winter times for canadian and pacific US mines) -- does these mines continue through the winter time and will the stock prices be dipping as a result of this? I am curious about how timing of these stocks (do you think they will bubble and what will cause the fallout?) and if these operations continue during winter seasons (I assume this is why australia mining is a good pick for production?)

Thanks in advance,

The ground freezes up...anytime from now...until April...here in Canada & Alaska...I know there are the rainy seasons in Australia...& they can be torrential down pours...A good idea...may be to google (example) Yukon climate...or Alaska climate...& that should tell you the weather scenarios...pertaining to where the mine is situated!...When you have the climate condition...you may be able to google further...example...Yukon miners winter shut down!...Although many companies cannot mine in extreme weather conditions...if they are able to operate with stockpiles (this would only apply to producers)...that is worth considering as well!...Anyone else out there have any input on this question?...:) :)

Pull up charts from winter periods in the past to answer your question. I think POG along with ounces in the ground is the biggest determinant for price. Seasonality definitely plays a role and generally speaking Nov - Dec sees a HUGE run up. January and February it cools back down and in mid-march it tends to bottom. April and May see big rallies with the inevtiable "Sell in May go away" which to me is a ludicrous mentality, but has worked like clockwork against all strategic sense in my book.

I think however, game changing events are occuring at every turn. If you don't have a VERY solid core position in gold/silver I recommend you IMMEDIATELY buy a sizable chunk of what you want to be your core position. In addition, before you buy any miners you had best load up on bullion. Purchase at least 1/3 of your planned bullion purchases immediately if you don't have any. Then cost average in your additional purchases. Food stores of foods you like and PM's first, then start speculating in the riskier junior miners. Get your core positions in all three ASAP and then you can feel free to speculate with the speculative part of your money.

Core positions in miners should be high quality blue chip stocks. If you have no idea about miners I recommend buying some indexes like GDX and GDXJ. Also buying PHYS (I own PHYS) or CEF is not a bad idea or SIL to have exposure to silver juniors. Then start looking at the blue chip picks of BOG, myself, Cyclist and Will Wong's thread. You should read Will Wong's thread to get up to speed on important components. Then read up on this thread and Group Think threads. When you feel more advanced you can read the Cyclist thread although I warn you pumpers and big ego's flock to his thread.

To part let me say DYODD do NOT let anyone do your thinking for you. One caveat to that is I can say with 100% certainty that if you do not have a core position in emergency food and precious metals in physical coin form you had better do that post haste before worrying about speculating on this bull in the PM miners.

Good lord, bunch of weak hands getting flushed in the REE market right now. About time for a run up IMO. People bail on RAREF.PK and Cache are about to taste a strong dose of regret. REE's getting ready for another parabolic move. I see Cup and Handle patterns in multiple REE miners and across the REE index. Miners still lagging way behind the underlying commodity which is itself highly undervalued especially considering coming Government intervention.

This is really good info.

How does one stock pile pizza's unless you had plenty of deepfreeze space :D (who likes frozen pizza's though)

Also, the above info is very much broken down into laymens terms of what Cyclist is trying to educate us all in. Right now I have my core in metal (once the sale of the house goes through will be adding at every dip) I am now trying to create a good core position of stocks, wether it be miners or anything with good long term performance.

The stockpile of food is the only thing I lack at the moment, but soon to be hunting and loading up the freezers.. that should do me well.

I plan to hold some cash in had as well and plenty of ammo if things start to go weird up here in Canada (doubtful)

Sorry just saw this. RA.V and CAY.V are both in my opinion deeply undervalued. Medallion on the other hand had a mind blowing 30% jump today on what seemed like minor news (more land acquisition). It seems REE's are 70% price chasing and 30% logical analysis.

Most REE's dropped today GWM.V also was down along with TSM.V, UCU.V, QRM.V and DSM.V. All of those are solid stocks as well. I think the Fulp hit piece that was deleted from Rare Metal Blog has a lot to do with the recent price action. One has to wonder what his motivations were, not that I'm currently trusting Jack Lifton's side either. Something murky going on there review the last three pages of my REE thread for more info. I think that a piece written by Mickey Fulp has alot to do with the recent swings. I'm not currently trusting any of the major REE geologists as they have all come under suspicion recently due to talking their books while really hammering non-sponsors.

DYODD, I still believe a sector wide big up is coming very shortly. Get your positions now.

Check out the REE thread there is a lot more to it although generally you might be right. September was certainly that way. I also don't see a ton of research being done on this sector. Unfortunately, some of the world experts recently seemed to hatchet some companies and pump others. Considering the recent market action I don't see a ton of rationality out there other than the blue chip sticks which are rationally grinding higher. The more junior stocks are ultra volatile and momentum based.

To sum up you're sorta right but I'd suggest dyodd in these companies. My thread you can use to start your journey. Good luck. Goldiehawn btw is quite knowledgable and has a great track record. Much more conservative than me and a good balance.

I really enjoyed Fulp's analysis for his singularly investor's perspective and clear grasp of essentials. I checked his site sponsors, most of them got a good beating today, including Quest and Almaden. He seems to be too intelligent to risk his reputation by shilling for a small change.

Oh I am definitely doing my own research, and I have used what you have said as a basis for my knowledge seeking mind :) -- I am picking up on the things to look into very quickly and understanding the market much better than I initially did. I currently have my positions almost done with a little bit of tweaking. Amazing where 60 hours of research, some drive, and a previous understanding of the economic situation the world is facing will drive you to do. I appreciate your suggestion of caution, as we are just playing a large game where the rule maker is really behind the scenes. With any investment, there is always a risk (as in Stats I have learned that there is nothing that is 100% or anything that is 0%, impossible due to lack of information) so it is ignorant to think that you are absolutely correct on anything. What I believe is that this market is in for a massive upswing (regression towards real value) with all the underpricing of profit from underestimated prices of gold/silver! Think about the fact that the people who are running these mines are playing conservative and showing profit abilities, now you add in the 400$ for gold/oz or the 6$ silver/oz increase since a lot of these annual reports... all these places are underestimating their profit... how often does that happen industry wide?? Once in a blue moon (especially in a time where profit is hard to come by in the business world)

My comment about "just taking a stab in the dark and throwing a dart at a junior and watching it grow" is only to the effect that there are going to be a lot of good performers sector-wide, and once the market is saturated with more and more "good performers" -- the playing field is leveled to a certain degree and from there, our expectations of what will happen as of today will most certainly be changed -- (in a more long-term sense)

-
Glad I found out about this great source of information that has allowed me to build a vast knowledge base of junior gold miners/silver miners -- never would've guessed this is what I would be so excited about even as close as a month ago! I mean, the fact that this thread has 90+ posts, almost 2000 views and has been going for 3 days shows you what is going on in this... now just wait for the speculators to jump in once "everyone finds out" about this "hidden gem" --

Just my 2 cents, I know I am new but I am definitely not blind. Not by any definition of blind.. always be willing to adapt to new information or you will be left out cold -

"Initial Nuinsco results included grab samples grading up to 10.98 oz per ton (341.81 g/t) gold. "

Grab smaples can be a very tricky. Not something to bet the bank on.

I own some Nuinsco, so I'm already "in"

Thank you very much for the story about the pharaoh map! I most certainly had no idea about this. It would appear secret treasures, and treasure hunters still have a place in this world. I'm going to read it now.

My other concern, is a company that covers so many things..i.e. rare earths, gold, uranium, nickel. I've found in the past that it dilutes when you are all things to everyone. Although, I have also seen this as an advatnage when you can target different sectors as economics change.

I'm in for on this one...just wondering if I want to hold a little more.

OK, very nice article. It covers a lot.

I had questions as I read. Please let me know if I'm covering them correctly.

What about the government? The Gov is pro energy, and so mining is an extension of this mindset. Although, there have been some uphill education needed of how new technologies have replaced the old. Centamin has done a great job of priming the pump in many ways. The Gov will get 50% (which is a pretty big cut), so they are not standing in the way..and you don't have the eco people causing all kinds of political troubles. So as long as the mine is huge..which they appear to be, this should still be a potentially world class area to develop...with 20-25 yr mine lifes by current analysis.

How economical is the gold to develop? The article makes like this is pretty darned cheap, and the methods are relativley conservative as compared to other regions in the world.

What about location and infrastructure? Yea. It's out in the middle of nowhere. But the infrastructure and energy sources are workable.

Very interesting. I'll want to read the article again.

In my opinion, this is certainly off the beaten path. I like that :)

If the markets only have a 15 dollar drop with a real drop of only 10 with quick recovery (gold) and silver seems to never have taken that drop as of yet -- these pullbacks are few and far between...

As goes gold/silver, goes junior gold/silver stock mines which are already undervalued? :)

As goes gold/silver, goes junior gold/silver stock mines which are already undervalued? :)

Bill Downey...my trusted fundamental technical analyst says...that gold may fluctuate between $1366 to $1392 today!...Kitco is showing 1365.30 so far...& Bill is off by 70 cents so far!...So...let's see what unfolds...& hopefully the junior miners will be okay...in this short term!!!...:) :D :)

Very cool, you were invited to be on I assume? What are you going to be talking about? What is your profession that you are were invited to do this (just curious).

Also, just to get your viewpoint, do you think that within the next couple weeks we are going to be seeing this surge on this market? Just curious your perspective on time frame, as I am under the impression that within 2 months a lot of the major moves are going to have happened, and some starting soon, if not already making those moves (as outlined by previous posts).

Scottj88 he was saying that Rick Rule will be on BNN.

RR can move the markets with his calls on BNN, I remember Brent Cook was on there recently and he said he liked a stock (cant remember which) but that it has shot up after Rick recco'd it on BNN so it might be better to wait and see if it cools off.

I am an admitted newbiee, as I am figuring out things that are obvious to you but since my lack of trading knowledge, I am just using my whole understanding of the greater picture coupled with your logic provided within these threads (and external sources that I am reading) to try to piece together the inner-workings of what I am dealing with. I have come a long way in 5 days and I am sure in another 5 days I will be even further, that is the beauty of it. From what I can tell, I sense great wisdom of market analysis from you -- I may be wrong or I may not be wrong, but I do know that I like where your head sits on your shoulders and because of that I am investigating as much as I can in as many different ways as possible to get the best understanding possible.

Thanks for your help :)

So...any idea what or who he will be mentioning on Mondays show?

I mean you can do all the TA you want and study all of the fundamentals, but when some one like Rick picks a favorite on national TV, its gotta make a blip somewhere on the market.

Rule is into "prospect generators" - where a companies geologist stake a claim and then enter into a JV agreement with an exploration company who puts the money into drilling it and defining the resource (thus taking most of the risk)

Altius Minerals ALS
Miranda Gold MAD
Almaden Minerals AMM
AuEx Ventures XAU
Eurasian Minerals EMX

Also owns:

East Asia Minerals EAS
Keegan Resources KGN
Red Back Mining RBI
San Gold SGR
and Centamin Egypt as mentiooned by BOG

a few of these have recentley been bought out

Rule is HEAVILY into geo-thermal......he gravitates where the value is. Nobody wants anything to do with the sector currently.

Bag Of Gold Agreed, this is one for the watch list only - far too speculative for my liking. Drills start turning in 10 weeks time. As for CEE they abandoned the property due to Egypt's "work it or lose it" rule and concentrated their resources at Sukari. The drilling was done by Minex and results are from '89. From what I can decipher CEE did no further exploration work on the property. Filled out the investor package and will wait for drill results.

The question is...are we going higher or lower?...Because we are at an important juncture in this gold bull market...I thought it would be best to share Bill Downey's information...this one time only (please do not ask me for anymore updates)...so all of you may make notes...make comparisons..& NOT get shaken from your gold & gold stock positions!...I am no technical analyst...I will leave that to Bill Downey...my trusted fundamental technical analyst...& he has always kept me on the right side of the trend!...Here is what he says...Watch first level support at $1347 - $1358...& last week's low of $1340.70...2nd tier support is $1318 - $1328 & $1294 - $1299...First level resistance is $1375 - $1383...2nd tier resistance is $1400 - $1408 & 1430...October is usually a pullback month... targeted time has been the Oct 7th - 10th or the Oct 23rd area...plus or minus a few days...his pivot point is actually Oct 23rd...& if gold goes lower into Oct 23rd...then we may see gold peak 2 - 4 weeks from Oct 23rd...However...if gold goes higher into Oct 23rd...then we may see gold pullback 2 - 4 weeks from Oct 23rd!...For gold longs...$1225 - $1275 should be the new first month support area...if gold goes lower...then perhaps $1195...The $1435 - $1485 area is resistance for gold in October...If a melt up occurs...$1680 - $1700 is targeted!...Bill goes on to say...when a pullback does arrive...odds favor a bottom near the Thanksgiving time period plus or minus a week...From there another move higher should develop into the Jan - Feb 2011 time period. ON AVERAGE - WHEN PRICE IS RISING at this velocity -- the autumn pullback can certainly be pushed out...Last year's fall PEAK did not come until the first week of December...Gold longs should buy the dips!...This gold bull market...is far from over!...Lastly...Bill says...The showdown is probably coming when the DECEMBER futures contract becomes due and the rollover of 600,000 contracts either goes to the February month or the delivery table. ANY MOVE FOR PHYSICAL DELIVERY beyond normal could set off a short squeeze that would be a price game changer!!!...:) :)

I hope this helps...everyone!!!...

What is going on with US Silver? Is this profit taking or is this stock not a winner? I feel like it has all the potential with a lot of volume being moved, but it seems like every morning it just gets destroyed while it climbs back up during the day -- do any of you guys have an opinion on it?

Edit: Just read their recent news, makes more sense now... their production is down because of their mine having problems --
Do you guys think this is a short term ride out (if already have a solid position in here)? I still like this company a lot besides this news -- but is this stock going on the negative downturn for a while now?

US Silver...is one of my favourite silver stocks...& is fundamentally solid!...With "dry powder" from taking profits...it is a good time to buy more...bit by bit...as the price goes down!...Profits should have been taken when it was in the high 50 cent area!...I have "stink bids" to buy in at 40 cents & less!!!...:) :)

I put in around $750 and man am I happy with the results.

What's strange to me is how Sandstorm is so incredibly beaten down and they have a great set up with 4 streams in the funnel. I guess that sub dime status attracts folks to Golden Phoenix. I have another order for GPXM in if it falls a bit.

I think Sandstorm (SSL.V/SNDXF.PK) is insanely undervalued right now. We'll see what happens.

Cream Minerals just had another suspicious dump on the price. Endeavor resorting to dirty tricks to get people to agree to the cash offer? Pure speculation on my part but a sudden 24% drop is a little odd. On the other hand maybe someone was desperate to dump. Definite buy at 0.12 and under IMO. I expect Endeavor will increase their bid. An all cash offer is usually a lowball attempt to test the waters. Just my opinion.

SNDXF.PK and SSL.V are the symbols for Sandstorm. I hold quite a few shares about 7,000 as a long term hold. I love royalty plays as they also are a defacto derivative play off of oil. The reason I say that is because their costs are fixed in a range for their metal streams. As such, when oil rises the inputs for most miners rise along with POG (price of gold), however with fixed costs the royalty plays skim the cream off the top and simply gain from the increase in POG without the loss of increased energy costs.

I LOVE royalty plays. Please DYODD on this and all picks!

Well I know more than the average bear. I don't claim expertise, I've just done ridiculous amounts of research for a few years now. I'm an autodidact so I love to do my own research and learning on subjects I'm interested in. I literally spend the majority of my free time every day looking into PM and REE markets. There are many on this site who know far more than me.

That said I think I got a pretty good handle on things and Sandstorm to me is a great medium to long term hold. Good luck and always, always DYODD!!!!

Even though US Silver did miss production targets...

Going forward...they will do just fine!...If you have any extra money...I would suggest buying more...on any dips!...:) :)

Also keep in mind that US Silver was also recently the victim of a pretty big pump and dump scheme..

I'm saying, to everyone doing their DD from the AWESOME picks on these threads.. to be weary of the pumpers and dumpers (no one here).

These threads are awesome and have helped me tremendously.. I think you know that!

I was just saying that this guy is ALSO making some of the same picks.. so I am subscribed to their newsletter so that I always know which the next victim will be.

The last scheme they tried to get away with was to charge $1000 for their number 1 pick. A week later, they charged $500 for their no 2 pick. Scammers!

When buying into these very vulnerable penny's, sometimes we have to keep our enemies close =)

Oh no.. they don't charge for their email list..

they just advertised about getting access to their top picks by paying $$$

They have a website where they list their picks.. then they have several "minions" with very popular youtube channels pumping their organization, stirring up fear, and getting people to buy into their hype..

They are capitalizing on this junior miner move in a big unethical way.

Yeah, Hackswell told me Lebed was pumping and I sold EARLY in the US Silver move. I had bought not long before Lebed took a shine to it. If they have moved on I might take a look again. I really liked the play until Lebed started pumping. I sold immediately when I heard he was pumping, I probably should have waited a day or two.

Anyways, why am I being blasted here?

I'm just trying to help folks. This org has a huge following and someone asked why US Silver has had weird price actions lately.. it's because it's consolidating after a big "fake" pump and dump run up.

I'm a computer and network security nerd as a profession.. I don't use my primary emails for games like this. I've got their games and my emotions under full control.

I receive their emails so I know who they're pumping.. and I tread lightly. Other folks here should do the same. There were a bunch of folks buying in because of this newsletter, now some "not so good" news comes out and many of them bail.

I don't own any US Silver at this time and I don't plan to in the near future. They didn't make my cut for these reasons. In a few weeks I may reconsider.

For full disclosure, george4title and visionvictory are the names of the folks driving this hype parade on youtube.

I don't think you understand what I am saying.. it's not personal, I'm just relaying info!

First you accuse me of saying that you and Will are pumping and dumping..

then you make up that I paid money for a newsletter that I warning about (I never said that)..

I never said you made money for your stock picks..

I never said you were forcing me to buy them or that I disliked them..

I simply stated that a VERY LARGE organization just recently pumped US Silver.. and that possibly could be the cause for it's awkward patterns as of late. That is a fact!

here is a snippet from their email to me on 20 Sept..

U.S. Silver Corporation (TSX Venture: USA) (Pink Sheets: USSIF)
Price: $0.28
www.us-silver.com

Our new silver stock suggestion is U.S. Silver Corporation currently on the TSX Venture exchange at $0.28 and on the pink sheets at $0.27.

USA owns and/or operates the Galena, Coeur, Caladay and Dayrock silver-lead-copper mines in Shoshone County, Idaho, with the Galena mine being the second most prolific silver mine in US history.

Nothing personal here.. just letting folks know that it was recently pumped and dumped.. because someone asked about it! That's it!

I love this thread.. your picks and the discussion here, but this was quite unfair.

Take a peak at the volume on USA the day I got this email..

I am not the one who is taking anything personal!...The facts are...in spite of being a fundamentally sound stock...US Silver has been pumped by an unscrupulous person...who is being investigated by the SEC!...Other factors for the decline in share price today are...profit taking after a huge run up in the share price...decline in Q3 production...& decline in the price of silver today!...I don't own any shares of US Silver...as I sold at a profit...to fund my other stock picks!...I will wait to see which direction the price of silver will be going...& will be looking to buy US Silver again on any dips below 40 cents!...Do your own due diligence & invest accordingly!!!...:) :)

Good luck and always, always DYODD!!!!

.....it's a medium to long term hold ! I'm wary because of the sensational picture of tents and clouds of dust ! For my first buy, maybe I should seek something more traditional - like an open pit mine ? You guys are way ahead of me but I do want to get my hand in the game ! Can you recommend an electronic type of market maker - like the Kitco pools where I can get in and out cheaply and quickly from my little $50 computer ! Thank you for your patience and help ! Sincerely, Monedas !:)

BagOfGold was who said that. Sandstorm wouldn't be my first recommendation if you want quick profits. If you want quick, safe profits I'd go with GDXJ. It's the junior gold miner ETF. It should drop quite a bit today and has millions of shares traded each day. It has the liquidity to get in and out while still have junior gold miner exposure so potential explosive moves. It also lets someone else do the DYODD if you are still getting your feet wet.

I would recommend it to most new investors. I owned it for awhile until I was able to better deploy my cash myself. Good luck!

I have a good feeling about tomorrow after a start like this today -- we will definitely see some indication of how the market is gonna react to a "major blow" in spot price, even though its still relatively high!! 40 bucks in todays market is like a drop of water in a bucket in the bigger picture

Hi folks:

I just happened to drop in and saw some of this intra-family "fight" ;) LOL!

There are only so many good miners around and it is likely that good miners will end up in many different lists. Does that invalidate those lists? IMO, no. Do good miners sometimes hire public relations firms like Lebed to help them raise some capital for some drilling projects? Probably!

Am I a pumper? No! Can my thread MDDC be used as a pumping tool? Maybe! The bottom line is that I have included all the background information for each miner for all to see. There is a fair degree of transparency here. If someone choose to pump miners that I already own based on my own DD, all power to that pumper. You don't know which stock will be pump and when. You just have to do what you need to do.

BTW and FWIW, say what you like about Lebed. He asked people to buy boatloads of Jan 2011 SLV $20 calls @ $0.80 each. Those are 5-baggers now. I am sure glad I took his advice. His advice is not all bad. You need to pick and choose and be wary. JMO!

To a certain extent I agree, but I think you have to DCA when we are at a potentail turning point for this stock. It may go down, but I think the odds are in favor of .31-.33 being the new low. If you plan on adding don't wait for .28 to buy your whole position, DCA some at .32 then add if it goes lower, add if it goes higher.

It limits the profit somewhat, but I think it not nearly the mistake of not getting in because of a hard target that is more then likely not to be hit.

So is my interpretation from reading and trying to piece things together of what is going to be going on in this REE market on the right line?

The US Dollar Index is rebounding (cyclist says to about 78.5 and then past that will be the telling point about how hard the dollar will hit on its new low...) but will then continue its downward trend as this propels gold to increase (and thus silver too) to record levels which will increase the demand for this market due to these spot prices making it extremely profitable for these companies. In addition, he says that gold is going to break away from ALL currencies, making the increases in gold much more volatile...

So, we shall wait for the next downturn of the US Dollar Index as that will be when the leg-up of this market will most likely surge?

I'm glad that worked out for you. But the guy is an unethical crook and I simply wanted to make the readers here aware of that. The price action of the discussed stock was being asked about and I provided information.. that was not mentioned anywhere else on these forums. I find it quite important to know when a stock that you may be holding becomes a victim of a pump and dump, don't you think? It just so happens the day Lebed announced this stock as his pick, the volume increased from an average 1.0 million to over 8.0 million. Bring The Gold mentioned that he knew of the scheme and promptly exited the stock. Wise move.

Just because Lebed made a good call does not mean that we should follow his schemes. I believe we can all play this market in a very healthy and ethical way and still profit enormously.

I'm going to end my discussion on this topic with a few links. For the readers out there who may want to follow Lebed's picks or perhaps read more about him, you should due your own DD on who you follow. Also, watch out for those who also profit from his schemes by their fear mongering videos on youtube.. ManofTruth, George4title, and VisionVictory. I encourage you to tread lightly when taking advice from Infl@ti0n.us and their fear mongering, pump and dump thievery.

A wise investor is an informed investor.. and that includes ALL FACTS whether you like it or not. Facts are not convenient.

Here is Lebed's "Cease and Desist" order straight from the SEC!
http://www.sec.gov/litigation/admin/33-7891.htm

On eleven separate occasions between August 23, 1999 and February 4, 2000, Lebed engaged in a scheme on the Internet in which he purchased large blocks of thinly traded microcap stocks and, within hours of making such purchases, sent numerous false and/or misleading messages, or "spam," over the Internet touting the stocks he had just purchased. Lebed then sold all of these shares, usually within 24 hours, profiting from the increased price his messages had caused. During the course of the scheme, Lebed realized a total net profit of $272,826.

BagOfGold was who said that. Sandstorm wouldn't be my first recommendation if you want quick profits. If you want quick, safe profits I'd go with GDXJ. It's the junior gold miner ETF. It should drop quite a bit today and has millions of shares traded each day.

I would recommend it to most new investors. I owned it for awhile until I was able to better deploy my cash myself. Good luck!

They might pick an occasional dog - but unlikely to pick scams - right ? Sounds like a good place to start ! Also any discount on line broker can get it ! Simple as the silver pool ! Thanks !

Can we get you to provide your overall list like this one here by BringtheGold? I'd love to get you quick analysis on the "blue chip juniors" etc with a brief snapshot. I think because this is your thread it would be nice to see. Also, we understand you more than likely are not holding these potential picks because you like to ferret out new ones and ride them early. I'm sure you have your favorites that are off and running and would be more stable vs. a very early on penny stock. :)

I think that is a fair assessment.. patience is key in this game. Just keep reminding yourself it's like a rollercoaster! Okay folks...it's finally here!...I have been asked to start my own thread...a centralized place where my stock picks may be found by everyone...instead of putting "snippets" here & there...in other threads!...Since there appears to be a lot of interest in many of my stock picks...I would like to invite everyone to participate!...If you have any questions...hopefully...I will be able to answer them...or other participants may be able to!...I believe that investing in fundamentally sound junior gold & silver miners...should not only be fun...but should also make you a lot of money!...So...please drop by often...& stay awhile!!!...:) :) :)

In an effort to get investors to do their own due diligence...I am listing my Top Picks...along with their websites...& I strongly urge investors to investigate...before buying any of these stocks!...Hopefully...everyone will discover on their own...why I like these stocks so much...& may also be the reason why many of them have doubled...& are on their way to tripling profits...very soon!!!...

Thanks for the news on Nuinsco's Prairie Lake project...but there should be a newer one coming out...& also news on the Olympia project...where they found an 11 ounce grab sample!...Now on Rye Patch Gold...the stock doubled for me...& I took 1/2 the shares off at 27 1/2 cents...& the rest of the shares are riding on the house's money!...With the next drill results...the price should increase...truly under valued...& a great deal at only 26 cents!...With their 4 million ounce resource...they hope to find another 6 million ounces of gold!...I think you must be joking...when you said the reason you bought Rye Patch Gold because you like the name...right!...There are also lots of bottles out there...& they have the words RYE on them...Now are you telling me...if there was a bottle that said RYE PATCH GOLD on it...you would buy it because you liked the name?...I bet you would like what's in the bottle a lot more!...Chervonets...you certainly make me LOL the hardest!!!...:) :)

I'll give you my perspective on Copper Fox: I'd like to slit my wrists over it! This is one of those occasions BoG where you were totally right, I was too concerned about high share issuance. I got in at about .12 and sold at about .25, and now its in the .70's - .80's. But I only had about 200K shares. Ouch!

It depends on what kind of return you're looking for. Its run from .12 or so last fall to over .80, so I don't think you will get a double from here over the next year, but could easily get a 50%. They have a huge deposit, were boosted by the announcement of the BC gov't plan to build a transmission line near the deposit, but it is really far from being developed, I forget what the grades are like (copper is the primary metal), and I'm not sure where they are in regards to permitting.

And also, thanks for sharing your list with us!;)

I am doing some due diligence on one of Rick Rule's investments...Geologix Explorations Inc (T.GIX)...(GXEXF)...& I am unable to view Will's stock lists...because of my firewall & security system...is this stock on Will's list?...I want to give credit where it is due...before adding it onto my list!...I feel this stock could easily double very soon...& I am always on the lookout for stocks which may double or more!!!...:) :)

SMD was my pick but give credit to Krank for his DD on that one.

I'm thinking of buying some more Pelangio PX.V check 'em out. Wierd thing is I'm at a double on this one, should be selling half, but I think its just starting to take off.

They had huge sucess with Detour Gold and now they are off to a good start in Ghana, 4 good drill results in a row. Their head geologist just bought a big chunk of shares at current prices, good sign if you ask me.

I see no reason why Copper Fox couldn't double from here!...Is Copper Fox on Will's list?...If it is...I want to put it on my list too...another double or more from here!!!...:D :) :D
