XRHO on the LSE has had quite a lot of trades today, I dont exactly know what it means but it seems like there is renewed interest in Rh.

Umicore has slowly increased it's rhodium price over the last week. I suspect the spot price of rhodium will begin to climb from here very soon.

From Heraeus:

Despite of relatively high sales in the reference week Rhodium has been treading water. Demand occurred again, like in the recent weeks, increasingly from Asia. However, demand could be served without any issues from the traders’ side, so that Rhodium moved sideways. Although the South African mining industry is still holding back major sales there is no physical shortage at all until now. The automobile industry is also on the buyer side on this low price level even though not with very large quantities. Iridium is still demanded although sales were overall slightly lower than in the previous weeks. Sellers also use the opportunity for smaller sales as the price currently trades on a 8-month high. Also in Iridium there has so far not been any supply shortages despite of the strikes. Ruthenium also faces some demand again from Asia. However, this demand resulted from the chemical/electrochemical industry with relatively small quantities. The electronics industry continues to be hesitant with substantial amounts.

Key words 'until now'.

That's exactly the price manipulation for Pt and Pd. Rhodium just follows down until physical shortage comes in play...

The funds do indeed control the price, most of the time. But if we ever get a situation with high demand and a tight supply, prices might increase. It may happen later this year.
