Yes trading halted 1997 because Russia stopped exports. Heres a link I think it is credible . http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9D04E1D8103EF936A15751C1A9619582 60

In Feb. 2000, the Tokyo Commodities Exchange, the main market for palladium futures, froze trading for three weeks or more.

How stupid can I be – well pretty stupid, but:

If Palladium was once shut down, and today is at a near all time low compared to its previous spike and relative value (scarcity to platinum) the stupid in me says go for it. On the other hand; well I just don’t see the other hand – stupid is as stupid does. Is it wrong to take the Palladium Maples out of the plastic bags and play with them?
